Helen is a first-generation Mexican American and the first in her family to graduate from college. She received an associate degree in social and behavioral sciences from San Jacinto Community College and a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. Post- graduation Helen interned at the Montgomery District Attorney’s Office where she gained experience working with Victims in the Victim Assistance Division. It was there that Helen decided she wanted to help those who have been harmed by others.
Helen is a Spanish-speaking legal assistant who provides administrative support to the Shellist Law Firm team.
When not working, Helen likes spending time with her two dogs, Monito and Lila, spending time with her family, and learning new topics.
